Application of white clay for hair
Masks with white clay for hair are used for dry, brittle, split ends. In addition, kaolin has anti-inflammatory properties, due to which white clay is often included in shampoos against dandruff and oily seborrhea.
Hair masks with white clay
You can buy white clay in almost any pharmacy. It is a powder that is diluted with water or decoctions of herbs to the consistency of liquid sour cream.
- Mask for oily hair. In this case, white clay powder is best diluted with a decoction of nettle or chamomile. The resulting mixture is applied to the scalp, lightly rubbing, and to the hair along the entire length. The mask is left for about half an hour, or until completely dry, after which the hair is washed with shampoo. Owners of oily hair can dilute the clay with plain water, but add half a teaspoon of lemon juice there. Even in such a mask, you can add 2-3 drops of essential oil of juniper, cedar, cypress or grapefruit.
- A strengthening hair mask. For 3 tablespoons of clay, diluted with water, add 1 yolk and a tablespoon of burdock oil. The mask is applied for 15-20 minutes. A nourishing mask is also popular, when one tablespoon of colorless henna and apple cider vinegar is added to the same amount of clay. The last mask is more suitable blondes, because white clay itself lightens hair a little, and in combination with henna and vinegar, the effect is enhanced.
- Mask for split ends. For such a mask, one tablespoon of crushed cranberries, two tablespoons of white clay and the same amount of milk or yogurt are taken. Usually the mask is applied to dry hair for 20 minutes.
Clay masks are recommended to be used 2 times a month to maintain the condition of the hair. In the case when a therapeutic effect is required, their more frequent use is possible, but not more than 2 times a week.
