In dermatological practice, preparations that combine antiseptic, anti-inflammatory, astringent and drying properties are indispensable. Paste Lassara or salicylic-zinc ointment is a successful combination of these effects, does not cause allergic reactions, addiction and negative side effects.
Composition of Lassara paste
This topical preparation contains 25% purified starch and zinc oxide, 2% salicylic acid and 48% medical vaseline (as a filler and to facilitate the application of the mixture).
The consistency of the ointment is thick, non-greasy, very dense. The product is white in color and has a slight oily smell.
Lassara pasta manufacturing technology
On an industrial scale, salicylic-zinc ointment is produced in tons.
First, zinc oxide, salicylic acid and starch are crushed, sifting the ingredients through a special sieve. At the same time, vaseline is melted, maintaining a temperature of 50-55 degrees by means of a steam jacket. The crushed zinc oxide and salicylic acid are placed in a mixing pot and about 50% warm petroleum jelly is added there. After that, starch (sifted) and the remaining half of the petroleum jelly are introduced. Mixing is carried out until the whole mass becomes a homogeneous thick consistency.
The finished product is passed through an industrial mazeter and packaged in cans of 50 kg.

- blisters on the skin.
Lassara paste also helps with increased sweat production. It does not treat the cause of this pathology, but effectively eliminates the symptoms. Due to the content of potato starch, the excess fluid produced by the body is quickly absorbed, and the surface of the skin is dried. In addition, zinc oxide prevents the appearance of an unpleasant odor, as well as the reproduction of pathogenic microorganisms.
Paste Lassara for acne
Despite the absence of such a disease as acne or acne in the indications of the ointment, salicylic-zinc paste is actively used in the treatment of these ailments.
The advantage of the drug is its ability to quickly dry weeping surfaces and prevent inflammatory bacterial processes. Thanks to this, even large purulent acne is successfully eliminated with the help of the described ointment. Besides, the content of salicylic acid in the composition of the paste allows you to gradually even out the skin relief, renew it due to the peeling effect.
It is important to note that the ointment is effective only in relation to weeping processes, purulent rashes or wounds formed as a result of squeezing, cleansing the face. Paste Lassara will not help get rid of comedones, both open and closed, and in some cases can even aggravate the course of the disease, especially with dry skin.
The correct use of acne ointment consists in daily application of a small amount of medication to the inflamed elements, preferably pointwise, with a cotton swab.
