Calluses and rough skin on the legs, especially in the summer, are not uncommon, and the main method of dealing with such a problem is the removal of keratinized, dead layers. However, in order to carry out the procedure normally and not be injured, the skin must first be softened. For this purpose, foot baths with hydrogen peroxide are used. In addition, the effect of peroxide (as an antiseptic and antioxidant) helps to eliminate unpleasant odors, prevent infection and heal cracks faster, saturate skin with oxygen, which makes the skin more elastic and less prone to damage.

Preparation and application

Salt is added to very warm water, mixed thoroughly and the feet are lowered into the bath for 5-7 minutes, after which peroxide is added and the procedure is continued for another 7-8 minutes. This recipe is used as a remedy for combating sweating and unpleasant foot odor. In the case of cracked heels, the method is contraindicated due to the salt content and its caustic effect on wounds.

Before any such bath, you need to thoroughly wash your feet, and after them, it is advisable to treat the heels with pumice and apply a moisturizer.
