Conservative treatment involves an integrated approach, and one of its components is the wearing of compression stockings for varicose veins. Also, these products are recommended to be worn for prophylactic purposes by women who have the greatest risk of developing varicose veins (with significant physical exertion on the legs, family predisposition, hormonal disruptions, etc.).
Stockings against varicose veins are made of dense elastic material, including lycra, microfiber, rubber and cotton threads. Legs in such stockings fit snugly, but at the same time the skin breathes well, there are no uncomfortable sensations. Having a compressive effect, corrective stockings provide narrowing of the veins dilated with varicose veins, which leads to an acceleration of blood flow, preventing blood clotting.
